Best Season to Surf Sayulita

  • Winter Season – November to April: For Beginners & Longboarders: The dry season brings consistent, smaller, and cleaner swells. The bay is much more forgiving, making it the ideal time for surf schools and those just learning. Winter does not mean bad weather here either!
  • Summer Season – May to September: Intermediate & Advanced Surfers: The summer months receive larger and more powerful southern swells, bringing bigger waves to the area. It is also the rainy season, which brings warmer water but occasional heavy downpours.
