Introduction to Surfing in Formentera
Surfing Formentera is lesser known, as its not much of a wave machine or magnet. You’re sitting in the Mediterranean Sea, on an island mostly blocked by Northern Swell, mostly waiting for windswells to kick up. The main reason to drag a board here isn’t for world class barrels, or even decent waves, it’s for the insane crystal-clear water and the vibe. It feels like the Caribbean but in Spain, and as a beginner, could offer some you some basic beginner waves in a beautiful location.

Surf Camps in Formentera
Unfortantely, surf camps aren’t something that you will find in Formentera. The waves, just aren’t consistent enough, to make it an available option for a surf camp to setup camp. Huh, pun intended. Instead, you may have to make your own surf camp, by joining a yoga camp. Maybe by brining a couple of your friends to such a yoga camp you could have a relaxing time.
Conclusion on Surfing in Formentera
Not really a highlight of the Baeleric Islands, and I must insist to find better wave on any of the other islands. Check out my guide for Surfing in Menorca, or my guide for Surfing in Ibiza, both of which you should be able to find a better session.
